"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.

I just reread all my old journal entries. It looks like there were several times in the last 5 years where I had to stop and ask myself, "why exactly am I on DA?" It's a great community but I think different people have many different reason for participating.
I blog on blogger. I post my photos to flickr. I would throw my designs up here but that's all pretty corporate now and usually under a deadline that doesn't allow me to consider your valuable feedback.
So here I am again, updating my profile, cleaning out old deviations and getting ready for a clean start.
I just read a comment you made 5 years ago on an anti-war picture. I'm- er, somewhat late, but I wanted to thank you. It's nice to know some aren't afraid to speak their minds- when they actually know what they are talking about.
